Scott Kirkman

Graphic Designer

Melbourne, Australia
I'm a graphic designer, illustrator and Newcastle expatriate now living in Melbourne. I design for FutureBrand but occasionally take on freelance projects, specialising in branding, album artwork, book covers and posters.

Growing up in Newcastle with childhood aspirations of being a ‘Robot Fixer’, I was on a steady course to a career in engineering. After realising that engineering involved a lot of maths and very little drawing cool-looking robots, it became clear that a designer was what I wanted to be all along. After graduation, selling my car to fund the move to Melbourne seemed like a no-brainer. Fortunately I found my feet after only having to endure one month of dorm-living in a Fitzroy hostel and in less than a year I was sitting in front of an iMac at FutureBrand.
