- I Speak Bahana EP
2010 - With influences ranging from Bloc Party through to The Rapture and Midnight Juggernauts, I Speak Bahana's sound is best described as psychedelic electronica with a minimalistic approach. It's this contradictory idea of psychedelia and minimalism working together that I explored while designing the cover for ISB's debut EP. The imagery on the front cover is a mishmash of an eye, an open mouth and a volume dial, creating a visual representation of the title I Speak Bahana (with Bahana translating as 'loud' in Indonesian). Simple geometric shapes are repeated throughout the internal pages of the booklet symbolising beat and volume, contrasted by flamboyantly coloured textures to set the melody and tone. I wanted the person holding the album cover in their hands to almost be able to see the music before even playing the CD.
